CELEBRATING OUR 7TH ANNIVERSARY AND THE RELEASE OF "BETWEEN SELVES" - A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER AND DESIGNER
As the saying goes, seven years usually brings an itch - and I cannot disagree further. This November marks 3EIGHTH's 7th anniversary alongside the release of our latest ready-to-wear collection, “Between Selves.”
Just as the name suggests, this collection was born from the exploration of my several selves, with some necessary restraint and pragmatism of course. How so very Singaporean of me hah. In the same veins and hearts of smaller, independent run labels like ours, there is always a feverish excitement when we put out new work, tempered with nervousness on its commercial viability.
With that, I'll also take the liberty to share a little curation of tunes as you sift through these words. It encapsulates the softer sounds from my mind, and grows a little bolder, mirroring the rhythms of my courage taking root too.
2025 has truly been a year of great transitions for me - both from a professional and personal perspective. I began to reflect on my deepest desires, to let my own style and point of view take up more space within 3EIGHTH, and to meet the world more fully through my designs.

Since founding the label in 2018, I’ve always held deep respect for the traditions of tailoring, while constantly challenging the tensions between masculinity and femininity. It’s been an internal tug-of-war — a quiet fight to let my personal voice surface while still giving breath to my clients’ visions through tailoring. My love for creating dream suits hasn’t waned, but I’ve been longing to offer and present a new canvas — one that speaks in my own rhythm, yet remains rooted in that vision.
As we turn seven, I’m glad to finally reach back and scratch that itch.

3EIGHTH now evolves into a house that speaks to you through clothing and objects not only for the seasons of the year, but for the seasons of life. The spirit of tailoring continues to live on through our dedication to quality, our curiosity with textiles, and our respect for tools and environment.
I hope every 3EIGHTH piece sparks memory, conversation, and gratitude — that each garment allows its wearer to feel seen, that they speak of you, and for you. Because truly, the magic of wearing clothes lies not in objective styling, but in genuine attitude and appreciation.

In a symbolic end or perhaps beginning to this chapter, I’m unveiling "Between Selves"
on my own birthday with a private preview first with our clients and close ones — a small celebration of rebirth for both the label and myself. With all my heart, and all the fireworks my body can contain, here’s to seven years of 3EIGHTH that have shaped me, and 34 years of life that have led me here.
With that, we present you our November release.
"Between Selves" continues our exploration of subtle juxtapositions — balancing tailoring sensibilities through its finishings and details. Feminine silhouettes meet boyish energy through keychain tabs, drawstrings in our signature orange, and gentle textural contrasts.

Each piece reflects our ongoing question: how can structure feel soft, and softness feel strong?
Expect reimagined daily essentials in core colours like navy, white, and brown — crafted with seersucker and paper-touch cottons that emphasize structure and texture in equal measure.

We’re also unveiling an early preview of our upcoming Holiday Edition during our open studio event, which launches officially online only in December. This capsule features tartan and silver satin, and also marks our first foray into headpieces — as we continue to expand the 3EIGHTH universe through feminine and boyish playfulness, and quiet strength.
